How Rebecca Loren Photography Came About

Rebecca Loren Photography is an all-purpose Photography boutique that was created and founded in December of 2009.

Unlike many photographers, I didn't have the dream of a being a photographer growing up. However, when I was 22 years old, I started modeling, and while modeling was certainly fun, it was not my passion. Soon though, I noticed how many of the photographers I shot with had such different styles, and I became fascinated and consumed with how they created such different looks using a similar, if not the same, piece of equipment.

Soon, I became obsessed. Every photo shoot I was hired for, I would ask the working photographer to teach me at least one thing that had helped him or her make it big into photography. Some taught me the technical - others taught me the life lessons. No matter what, each photographer I worked with taught me something, and I blossomed from there.

In December of 2009, I got my first camera - a Canon 50D. With that, I learned how to shoot, both with a 28-135 mm lens, and a 50 mm lens 1.8. I bought a copy of Photoshop and Camera Raw, and from there, the possibilities became endless!

Photography is my form of art - it is my passion. It is a way for me to express myself in a way that I was always missing before. If people only knew the art, the blood, sweat, and tears that went into photography, there is not a doubt in my mind that they would respect Photography not only as art, but as a way of communicating. Every picture I take has a story - no matter the client. Photography is meant to express, to communicate, and to show the amazingness of life!

Photography taught me how to love, and it taught me that it is so important to have a purpose in life. To find your passion. Being able to photograph people and there stories, and those key events that are so important to them, has been so important to me. It has helped me grow tremendously as a person.
